Visit to Parliament
Last term within PSHE lessons students have been learning about Democracy, the law of our land and keeping safe in relation to road safety.
This term a group visited the Houses of Parliament where students were able to experience travelling via the London underground and the security procedures in place within parliament.
We had a tour of Parliament and were able to listen to a live debate about Brexit in the House of Lords.
We participated in a workshop “Making Laws”. We created a no mobile phones in school bill and debated this in our workshop. We then met our local MP, Bim Afolami.
We travelled to London via train and tube.
